being Christian... is a pilgrimage.

Yesterday (Palm Sunday) marked the 25th anniversary of the first World Youth Day. Every year the World Youth Day is celebrated worldwide on a diocesan level, then every three years there is an International World Youth Day. The next international World Youth Day will be held in Madrid 2011. (see last post)

The Pope, addressing the young people of the world in his homily yesterday, said
"In a special way, I would like to repeat to all the young men and women, on this 25th World Youth Day, that being Christian is a journey, or better: It is a pilgrimage, it is a going with Jesus Christ. A going in that direction that he has pointed out to us and is pointing out to us."
